The price of petrol has been reduced by 65 paise, while diesel has become cheaper by Rs 2.07. This relief has come at a time when the prices of petrol and diesel are being increased in different states of the country. Let us tell you that at present the price of petrol in the country’s financial capital Mumbai is Rs 104.21. At the same time, the price of diesel is Rs 92.15. After the new relief, the price of petrol will come down to Rs 103.66. At the same time, the price of diesel will come down to Rs 90.08.

3 LPG cylinders free every year

Announcing another welfare scheme by the Maharashtra government, the Finance Minister said that under the ‘Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana’, eligible families of 5 members will get 3 LPG cylinders free every year. Let us tell you that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has presented the state budget for 2024-25 in the Legislature on Friday. A scheme to give Rs 1,500 monthly to women has been announced in the budget. This allowance will be given to women between the ages of 21 and 60.

Scheme for girls too

Ajit Pawar, who is also holding the charge of the Finance Ministry, said in his budget speech in the Assembly that the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ will be implemented from the month of July. It is being implemented four months before the assembly elections to be held in the state in October. He said that the annual budgetary allocation for this scheme will be Rs 46,000 crore. Ajit Pawar also said that the electricity bill arrears of 44 lakh farmers in the state will be waived.
