Petrol prices have increased in some states including Goa, Himachal, Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir, while prices have decreased in some states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Manipur.
Petrol-Diesel Price Hike: On the second day of the new year, there is a slight increase in the prices of crude oil. Meanwhile, government oil companies have updated the prices of petrol and diesel. There has been no change in oil prices even today in the country’s 4 metros Delhi-Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. But, fuel prices have increased in some states including Goa, Himachal, Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir, while prices have decreased in some states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Manipur. According to government oil companies, petrol has become cheaper by 14 paise in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of UP and is being sold at Rs 94.69 per liter. Diesel has also fallen by 20 paise and has reached Rs 87.61 per liter. In UP’s capital Lucknow too, the price of petrol has fallen by 15 paise to Rs 94.50 per liter today, while diesel has become Rs 87.61 per liter. In Haryana’s capital Gurugram, petrol has become cheaper by 14 paise and is being sold at Rs 95.11 per liter, while diesel has fallen by 13 paise to Rs 87.97 per liter.
Talking about crude oil, its prices are increasing. The price of Brent crude has risen to $ 75.10 per barrel, while the price of crude US is trading at $ 72.21 per barrel.

– Petrol in Delhi is Rs 96.65 and diesel is Rs 89.82 per liter
– Petrol in Mumbai is Rs 106.31 and diesel is Rs 94.27 per liter
– Petrol in Chennai is Rs 102.63 and diesel is Rs 94.24 per liter
– Petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per liter
Rates have changed in these cities
– In Ghaziabad, petrol has become Rs 94.58 and diesel Rs 87.67 per liter.
– In Noida, petrol has become Rs 94.71 and diesel Rs 87.81 per liter.
– In Lucknow, petrol has become Rs 94.52 and diesel Rs 87.61 per liter.
– In Gurugram, petrol has become Rs 95.11 and diesel Rs 87.97 per liter.
Rates are updated every day at 6 am
Petrol and diesel prices change every day at 6 am. New rates come into effect from 6 am. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price becomes almost double the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
