Today petrol has become expensive from 31 paise to 35 paise per liter, while diesel prices have also increased by 35 paise. Crude oil prices crossed $ 60 a barrel on Monday. This is the first time during the Corona crisis that crude oil has crossed $ 60. The effect of which is natural to be seen on the prices of petrol diesel. That is, if crude oil continues to grow in the coming days, then the price of petrol diesel will not stop even further.

Petrol inflation in new sky in Delhi 

Petrol in Delhi today has reached Rs 77.48 per liter, which is the highest level till date, that is, petrol has never been so expensive in Delhi before. While diesel in Mumbai is also making new records every day, diesel in Mumbai has gone beyond 84 rupees. Today, the rate of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 93.83, Rs 88.63 in Kolkata and Rs 89.70 per liter in Chennai. While in Delhi today, diesel is being sold at a price of Rs 77.48 per liter. 84.36 per liter in Mumbai, 81.06 rupees in Kolkata and 82.66 rupees per liter in Chennai.

Petrol and diesel fire in the new year

Petrol prices were increased for only 14 days in January and February, but during this time petrol has become expensive by Rs 3.59 per liter. On January 1, the price of petrol was Rs 83.71, today it is Rs 87.30 per liter. Similarly, from January 1 to today, diesel has become expensive by Rs 3.61 per liter. On January 1, the price of diesel in Delhi was Rs 73.87 per liter, today it is Rs 77.48.

Petrol becomes expensive by Rs 15 in 1 year

If comparing today’s prices with prices exactly one year ago, on 8 February 2020, the petrol rate in Delhi was Rs 72.45 per liter, that is, Petrel has become expensive by Rs 14.85 per liter in a year. Diesel was also Rs 65.43 per liter on 8 February 2020, which means diesel has also become costlier by Rs 12.05 per liter in a year.
