Giving this information on Saturday, Tripura Food and Supplies Minister Sushant Choudhary said that this decision has been taken due to the fuel supply being affected in the state due to the derailment of a goods train between Lumding and Badarpur sections of the Northeast Frontier Railway. He said that the government will start ‘rationing’ of petrol from November 10 under the system of distribution of things in equal proportion.
Minister Sushil Choudhary posted on the social media platform ‘Facebook’ and said, ‘Due to the derailment of a goods train between Lumding and Badarpur, there has been a huge reduction in the fuel stock of the state. In this regard, NFR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) KK Sharma said that due to the derailment of the goods train, the operation of goods trains between Lumding and Badarpur has been partially affected, but passenger service is continuing normally.
