Because in this, the money deducted from the salary is deposited during their tenure, but many people open a new PF account instead of transferring their previous PF account as soon as they get a new job. For this you have to follow some procedures.
Must have UAN link
It is very important to have your UAN linked for online PF account transfer because through this the details of your previous company will be visible on the EPF and through this it will be verified. So first of all you have to visit Unified Member Portal (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface) and log in with your UAN.
Account transfer process.
1. After login to the EPFO website, click on One Member One EPF here. Now you have to verify the information related to the existing company and the PF account.
2. Then click on Get Details option. By doing this, you will see the PF account details of the previous appointment.
3.Select between the previous company and the existing company and fill the member ID or UAN by selecting any of the companies.
4. At last click on Get OTP option, from which you will get OTP on mobile number registered in UAN. Now enter that OTP and submit. By this process your PF account will be transferred online.
These reasons may cause problems in PF transfer
If the UAN of an employee is not activated on the EPFO portal, then there may be a problem in transferring the PF account. Apart from this, even if the mobile number used during this time is not active, there may be a problem in account transfer as the OTP will be sent to this number. The employee’s bank account number and Aadhaar number should be linked with his UAN. Apart from this, if the date of exit of the previous appointment is not there, then update it first. Apart from this, it is necessary to complete the KYC details.
