After logging in to the EPFO website with this UAN and password, you get the option to update the bank account.
How to update your bank account on EPFO?
- After logging in to the EPFO portal, go to the top menu and click on the Manage option.
- After going to Manage, a drop down will open in which you have to click on the KYC option.
- On clicking the KYC option, select the bank name in Document Type.
- After that enter the bank account number and IFSC code and save.
- After all the details are saved, proceed further and press the Submit button.

Some bank accounts require the approval of your employer to link them, but many bank accounts can be linked to EPFO without the approval of your employer. If you want to link your bank account to EPFO without the approval of your employer then follow this process.
Go to the EPFO website.
- Login to the portal with your UAN number and password.
- Go to ‘Manage’ in the top menu bar, a dropdown will open there.
- Go to Document Type in the dropdown and select your bank.
- Enter your bank account number and IFSC code there.
- Enter both the numbers and save.
- As soon as you save, you will receive an OTP from Aadhaar.
- Enter this OTP on the portal and press the submit button.
- After you press the submit button, your bank will give approval.
- Receiving an approval message means that your bank account will be linked to your EPFO account in the next 2-3 working days.
