The government made a special withdrawal from the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) under PMGKY, to reduce the difficulty of employees during the Kovid 19 epidemic.

In order to reduce the difficulty of employees during the Kovid 19 epidemic, the government made a special withdrawal from the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY). Under this provision, EPF account holders can withdraw from their provident fund account equal to three months basic salary + dearness allowance or up to 75 per cent of the amount deposited in EPF account, whichever is less. There is no need to return these money to the shareholders.

Due to this relief, a large number of EPF subscribers are withdrawing money from the account. The money of PF comes in the link with the UAN of the Member Employee or in the registered bank account in EPFO. A scanned copy of this account’s check has to be uploaded while filling the online form for the PF claim. But there are some people whose checks in their checkbooks are over. How are you in such a claim

In this regard, EPFO has told the users the solution through its Twitter account. EPFO has said in the tweet that if a check with your name printed is not available, then you can upload a scanned copy of the page in the bank passbook on which the name, account number and IFSC of the Member Employee are clearly visible. If the name of the bank, IFSC, account number etc. are present except the name of the member employee on the passbook, then he will have to go to the bank branch and get all the information including the name of the employee on the passbook, after which the print of the passbook will be taken out.

If the bank passbook is also not available?

EPFO has also received queries that ask how the claim would be claimed if there is no check and passbook with the name and banking details of the Member Employee. To this, EPFO has replied that if you do not have a check or bank passbook, the image of bank statement or e-bank statement can also be uploaded. But the name, account number, IFSC of the member employee should be clearly visible in it. This is so as to ensure that the bank account number given in KYC is correct and to avoid wrong payment.

EPFO settling claim in 3 days

EPFO is settling Kovid 19 Advance on priority basis within 3 working days. After processing the claim, the money is sent to the bank of the member employee. Banks usually take 1 to 3 additional working days to send this to the employee’s account. Remember that in order to get PF Amount bank account, UAN must have the correct bank account number, IFSC link. Also the account should be operational.
