PM Fasal Bima Yojana: Only 5 days are left, get PM Fasal Bima done, otherwise you will not get this benefit

Millions of acres of crops are getting damaged every year due to natural calamities, due to which farmers are facing huge losses. For such farmers, PM Fasal Bima Yojana is emerging as a shield. In the year 2020-21, 613.6 lakh farmers have applied for it. In this, you can also apply by giving some documents. In most states, July 31 is its last date. In such a situation, now you have only five days left to join it.

These days many districts of Maharashtra are facing floods. When the water recedes, thousands of acres of crops will have been destroyed. But the farmers who have got insurance will get compensation. This is what happened due to the effect of Taute and Yas storms. Horticulture and maize crops have suffered heavy losses in many states. Therefore, if you want to reduce such risk, then you can join the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

Agriculture Minister appealed

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has appealed to the farmers to get insurance, so that the risk of crop loss due to any natural calamity can be reduced. He told that from the beginning of the scheme till December-2020, the farmers paid a premium of about Rs 19 thousand crore, in return for which they got the payment of about 90 thousand crore rupees as claim.

  • Land possession certificate
  • Aadhaar Card
  • First page – Bank passbook with bank account details.
  • Crop sowing certificate (If mandated in the notification of the State Government)
  • Insurance facility on sharecropper farmers or even on rented land.
  • Agreement, rent or lease document with the land owner for such persons.

Insured crop can be changed

If a farmer wants to change the crop already fixed, then he will have to inform his bank for the change at least two days before the last date (by July 29). The farmer who does not have KCC can get his crops insured from the customer service center or the representative of the insurance company.
