New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the first installment to one lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin under the Pradhan Mantri Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) through video conferencing on Monday. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi will also interact with the beneficiaries of PM-Janman.
When did PM-Janman start?
Let us tell you that on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day on November 15, 2023, Prime Minister Modi launched PM-Janman with the aim of empowering the last person at the last mile. Prime Minister Modi had said that under PM-Janman, the government will reach out to tribal groups and primitive tribes.
With a budget of around Rs 24,000 crore, PM-Janman focuses on 11 key interventions through nine ministries. It aims to provide vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) families and settlements better access to education, health and nutrition, electricity, road and telecom connectivity and sustainable livelihood opportunities along with basic amenities like safe housing, clean drinking water and sanitation so that the PVTGs can survive.
