PM-Kisan: About 33 lakh unqualified farmers got PM-farmer money, know when the 8th installment will be released

PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi: Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has informed that Rs 2,326 crore has been sent under this scheme to the account of 32.91 lakh unqualified beneficiaries. Now the state governments are busy in recovering this amount.

New Delhi. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rs 2,326 crore has been sent to the bank account of 32.91 lakh ineligible beneficiaries. There are some tax-paying people among them. Giving information about this, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the state governments are investigating it. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi) scheme, the central government gives Rs 6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers. This amount is sent directly to the bank account of the farmers in 3 installments. Tomar also said that many types of verification procedures have been adopted in this scheme so that at least mistakes can be made and only the eligible beneficiary can get the benefit of this scheme.




In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, it was stated on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, ‘However, under the verification process, it was found that Rs 2,326.88 crore has been sent to the account of 32,91,152 unqualified beneficiaries. There are also some tax paying persons in it. He also informed that in some cases the block / district officials have unfairly given its benefits to the ineligible farmers.

In the 158 crore rupees
Karnataka got in Tamil Nadu, 2,03,819 such wrong registrations have been done and an FIR has been registered against them. About 6 lakh such cases have been reported in Tamil Nadu and out of this, 158.57 crore rupees have been recovered. So far 16 FIRs have been registered in Tamil Nadu and more than 100 people have been arrested. 7,000 farmers in Gujarat have been disqualified for this scheme.

How do I get information about the beneficiaries who deposit income tax?
Explain that except for Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Ladakh and Assam, PM-Kisan Portal has been integrated through UIDAI for all other states. This portal has also been linked to the Income Tax Database so that those beneficiaries can be tracked and then collect income tax.




how long will the 8th installment be?
For small and marginal farmers, the 8th installment under this scheme can be found after Holi. It is possible that the central government will start releasing the 8th installment from April. However, there is no strong information about this from the government. Some media reports are speculating this. Under this scheme, one installment between April-July, second installment between August and November and third installment of the year between December and March. So far, 9.45 crore farmers have received the benefits of this scheme for December-March 2020-21.
