The 16th installment was released in February
Earlier on 28 February 2024, PM Narendra Modi had sent an amount of more than ₹ 21 thousand crores to the accounts of about 9 crore farmers under the 16th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana by pressing the remote button from Yavatmal in Maharashtra. Let us tell you that some farmers have suffered a big setback in the last several installments. Some farmers were taking advantage of this scheme of the government in the wrong way, in view of this, the government has made e-KYC mandatory. In such a situation, the amount of the 17th installment will not be sent to the bank accounts of those farmers who have not updated e-KYC.
How to do e-KYC
First of all, to update e-KYC, the farmer has to go to the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana https://pmkisan.gov.in/. After this, you have to click on the e-KYC option there. After this, you will be asked for Aadhaar number. After entering the Aadhaar number, a one-time password i.e. OTP will come on your registered mobile number. After this, enter the OTP received on the mobile in the OTP box on the portal. In this way your e-KYC process will be completed.
