Fraud in PM Samman Yojana, Dhanbad Farmers Fraud in PM Samman Yojana, : In the name of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, action has been started against farmers who fraudulently take funds in Dhanbad district. In the first phase, 683 farmers have been identified. 39.72 lakhs will be recovered from these farmers. For this, notice has been issued to these farmers from zones. Such farmers have been identified through PAN and Aadhar card.
The recovery process has started by making the income tax returns of all the farmers marked as the basis. Most of such farmers have been found in Govindpur region, while in Jhalia, Keliasol, no such farmers have been identified so far. Action may be taken on some more farmers in this matter.
What is the whole matter: Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in Dhanbad district, more than one lakh farmers had applied in the year 2020. Here about 65 thousand farmers are being given pension under PM Samman Nidhi Yojana. More than 68 thousand applications were found fake during investigation. All these applications were rejected.
After the matter of disturbances in PM Samman Nidhi, Deputy Commissioner Umashankar Singh got it investigated. Investigation was done through the Aadhar card and PAN card installed by the farmers. Physical verification of land was done in the circles. Many types of frauds came into this.

PM Kisan Yojana Status: Deputy Commissioner seeks guidance from the government
Deputy Commissioner Uma Shankar Singh has sought guidance from the state government in this matter. In a letter, we have asked that since this amount belongs to the central government, in which account should the amount collected from the farmers be deposited. It is worth mentioning that the Central Agriculture Directorate had last year asked the State Agriculture Secretary to investigate the complaints of such frauds.

Instructions for recovery of funds to zonal officers
The Deputy Commissioner has issued a letter asking all the zonal officials to recover the amount from farmers who have wrongly taken funds in PM Samman Nidhi scheme. Zone wise list has been released for this. It has also been asked to take action against the farmers who did not pay the amount. It has been asked to complete it on priority.
