PM Kusum: chance of earning by installing solar panel, up to 90 percent discount

In this scheme, farmers get solar panels on subsidy, from which they can make electricity. The total cost included in the scheme is divided into three categories.

The central government introduced a scheme called Farmer Energy Security and Upliftment Maha Abhiyan (Kusum). Under this scheme, farmers, panchayats, groups of cooperatives can apply to install solar pumps.

In this scheme, farmers get solar panels on subsidy, from which they can make electricity. The total cost included in the scheme is divided into three categories in which the government will help the farmers. Under the scheme, farmers get 60 percent subsidy from the government. At the same time, 30% of the cost is given by the government in the form of loan.

This is to say that farmers only have to pay 10% of the total cost of the project. Farmers can sell electricity generated from solar panels. The money received after selling electricity can be used to start a new business.

For application under the scheme, registration has to be done at https://mnre.gov.in/.

For this, information about bank account, Aadhaar card and property documents will have to be given.
