PM Svanidhi Scheme: Now you can enjoy street food at home too, the government joined hands with Zomato, Swiggy

New Delhi. The Modi government has taken a big step to help roadside street food vendors. Under the Prime Minister Street Vendors Self-Reliant Fund (PM SVANidhi Scheme), the Ministry of Urban Development has tied up with Zomato, an online food order and home delivery company. Food aggregator Jomato on Thursday signed an agreement to work together in the plan. Let us know that the government has already signed an agreement with Swiggy.




Street food will be home delivery
After the agreement between the central government and Swiggy, Zomato, street vendors will be able to make home delivery after taking online orders for food and drink. This will give life to this sector, which is facing recession on one side. At the same time, street food enthusiasts will be able to taste them sitting at home.

300 food vendors will benefit
Due to the Corona crisis, the work of millions of street food vendors has also become very tardy. Zomato said that it will start the scheme by training 300 food vendors in six cities. Many people will also get employment with the introduction of the scheme.

Started From This City, Delivery Will Start In These Cities
Bhopal, Nagpur, Patna, Vadodara, Nagpur And Ludhiana Are Identified As Cities Where This Scheme Will be early. After the first phase is successful, Zomato will start it in 125 cities and will train street food vendors across India.

under this agreement Zomato will train about food safety and hygiene these street vendors and will also help to fix their PAN card, FSSAI digitization of registration, food menu and food prices.




You can take working capital loan in PM Swanidhi scheme
Vendors can take a loan of Rs 10,000 as a working capital loan under the PM Swanidhi scheme. It has to be paid in monthly installments in 1 year. If the loan is repaid on time, then 7% subsidy will be deposited annually in the vendor’s bank account on a quarterly basis.

These people can take loans
under it for the shopkeeper, barber shop, cobbler, paan shop, laundry services Has been included. This includes shopkeepers selling vegetables, fruits, tea, pakoras, bread, eggs, clothes, handcrafted products and books / copies on cart.
