PM Ujjwala Yojana: Recently, before Rakshabandhan, the government had reduced the prices of domestic LPG gas in the country by Rs 200. Along with this announcement, Union Minister Anurag Thakur had also announced that the government will provide 75 lakh more new LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0.
Under the Ujjwala scheme, this connection will be given for 3 years i.e. till 2026, for which the government has given approval to release Rs 1,650 crore to the government oil companies.
How many connections have been given so far?
So far, the government has given 9 crore 60 lakh connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Under this scheme, the first refilling of the cylinder is also done for free along with free LPG connection to the beneficiaries. Apart from this, the government also provides free gas stove under this scheme.

- First of all you have to go to the official website of Ujjwala Yojana.
After this, a download form option will appear on your screen which you will have to download. - After downloading, you will have to fill all the necessary details asked in the form.
- After this you will have to go to the LPG center and submit this form along with your documents.
- Once your application is verified, you will get LPG connection under this scheme.
What is the eligibility?
- Only women whose age is more than 18 years can apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
- To be eligible, these women must be from BPL families.
- Apart from BPL card, they should also have ration card.
- There should not be an LPG connection in the name of any member of the family of these women.
