PMAY Scheme: The path to the right house will be easier, the huge provision for the Prime Minister’s housing scheme in the budget of 2021-22?

According to sources in the Union Urban Development Ministry, the central government wants to make their homes available to more people. From this, the government wants to fulfill its dream of a house by 2022. That is why in last year’s budget, Rs 8,000 crore was allocated for this housing scheme. However, an additional Rs 18,000 crore was allocated for this later in November. More funding is expected this year than last. However, it is not clear how much more funding will be available this year. That will be clear in the budget to be presented on February 1.

How much help does the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme get?

Beneficiaries whose names appear in the PMAY city list get a subsidy from the central government for the purchase of a house on interest rates ranging from Rs 2.35 lakh to Rs 2.50 lakh. Under this scheme, loans up to Rs. 6 lakhs are provided for a period of 20 years for those who are financially backward or have low productivity. The scheme also provides grants at 6.50 per cent interest for loans up to Rs 2.67 lakh. Individuals in the MIG1 and MIG2 groups are given a subsidy of 4% and 3% interest on a 20-year loan. Overall, MIG 1 and MIG 2 groups get a grant of Rs 2.35 lakh and Rs 2.30 lakh respectively.

Who can avail this scheme?

Citizens who have applied online for the PM Gharkul Yojana over the past year have been included in the list of beneficiaries for the scheme. Only people on this list will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme. Any citizen of the country can apply under PMAY. The name of the relative will then be added to the list.
