Actually, the central government had recently started a scheme, which was named Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Under this, any bank account holder becomes entitled to insurance up to Rs 2 lakh at an annual premium of just Rs 330. If the insured dies, then this money is given to his nominee. Not only this, for this the account holders were told that money would be deducted directly from the bank at their behest. But many people must have forgotten this. Hence, money has been deducted directly from your account. Some people are not aware of this. That’s why they are worried that unnecessarily money has been deducted from their account.
It doesn’t matter how many bank accounts you have. This amount will be deducted from one account only. If money is deducted from multiple bank accounts then you can contact your bank and ask it not to do so. From that bank you can tell that money has already been deducted from your account in a bank. For this, you can also give a letter to the bank, in which you will have to give information about which bank account is already being deducted. After that the amount deducted from your account will be refunded. This premium is automatically deducted from your account between June-August. So there is nothing to worry about.
