If you have a Jan Dhan account, then you can withdraw up to 10 thousand rupees from your account through overdraft.
Accidental insurance cover up to two lakh rupees and life insurance cover up to 30 thousand rupees is available.
Free mobile banking facility is provided with the account.
Rupees debit card is given to the Jan Dhan account holder. If Jan Dhan eats, then the account is easily opened for pension in schemes like PM Kisan and Shramayogi Maandhan.
Bankers and experts say that according to government regulations, a person can have only one Jan Dhan account. In such a situation, if someone goes to open another account, then it is immediately available from the document that Jan Dhan account is already opened in another bank. In this situation banks do not open Jan Dhan account. However, experts also say that due to being expensive for themselves, private banks shy away from opening Jan Dhan accounts.
