New Delhi. Punjab National Bank, the country’s second largest bank, has released important information for its account holders. According to this information, the bank has given instructions to change the old IFSC code (IFSC) and MIRC code (MICR) by 31 March. If not, customers will not be able to transact money through online methods. The bank gave information about this by tweeting through its official Twitter account.
The bank has appealed to all the account holders to replace the old IFSC code and MICR code. If not, account holders with old code will not be able to transact money from 31 March 2021 onwards.
These two banks merged with PNB
Let us tell you that last year, the Central Government merged Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India with Punjab National Bank. After which the customers of these banks have now been asked to take a new checkbook and IFSC and MICR code.

The bank has tweeted that the customers of OBC and United Bank of India should take the old checkbook and IFSC and MICR code before 31 March.

The bank has also shared a toll free number in its tweet. The bank has said that the customers of both banks who joined PNB after the merger, will now have to get a new checkbook and a new IFSC code.
