- Type PORT followed by a space and your 10-digit mobile number. For example: PORT 9876543210.
- Send this message to 1900.

- Go to the nearest store of Airtel, Jio, or Vi.
- Take these documents with you:
- A copy of your Aadhaar card, voter ID, or any government-approved ID.
- A passport-size photo.
3. Share your Unique Porting Code (UPC) with the store staff.
Step 3: Fill the Porting Form
- Fill out the Customer Application Form (CAF) given by the new operator.
- Choose the mobile plan that suits you.
Step 4: Get a New SIM Card
- The new operator will give you a new SIM card.
- Your BSNL connection will stop working within 3-5 days.
- Insert the new SIM card into your phone once your old SIM stops working.
Important Things to Know
- Your BSNL bill should be paid in full if it’s a postpaid number.
- You cannot port your number if it has been active for less than 90 days.
- Keep your phone turned on to receive porting updates.
