Physical biometric finger print verification will end
Savings bank account holders in the post office still have to go to the post office every three years to get their KYC done and get their verification done through biometric finger print. Karnataka’s Chief PMG said that we are going to incorporate this process in our mobile app. Anyone can complete this process sitting at home by downloading this app on their mobile.
Documents will be uploaded on the website
Before getting finger print verification done on the mobile app, account holders will have to login to the e-banking option on India Post’s website indiapost.gov.in. Then all your KYC related documents will have to be uploaded there. The biggest advantage of this facility is that you can open an account in the post office even without carrying the original documents. The postal department will confirm your identity through Aadhaar authentication. After this, you can do any kind of operation related to accounts.
