Strong interest is also given under this scheme. 7.5% annual interest is given on MSSC scheme, which is more than the 2-year FD of banks. This is a safe scheme because it is run by the government. Under this, the account can be easily opened in post office or registered banks.

How much can you invest?

Under this scheme, any woman who is a resident of India can invest a minimum of Rs 1,000 and a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. After a period of 2 years, the entire principal and interest is returned. After 1 year, the account holder can withdraw up to 40% of the amount.

Terms of Mahila Samman Yojana

The account can be closed prematurely in conditions like serious illness or death of the account holder. If the account holder closes the account after 6 months, the interest rate may be reduced.

You can invest till March 31, 2025

The government has not announced any extension of the MSSC scheme. In such a situation, it is necessary to invest by March 31, 2025. This is an excellent investment option for women with a safe and high interest rate.
