How to open account-
The account under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana can be opened in any authorized branch of any post office or commercial branch. In the current financial year, a maximum amount of Rs 1.5 lakh can be deposited under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
How long the account can be operated –

What is the penalty for non-
Deposit of amount?If a minimum deposit of Rs 250 is not made every year, the account will be closed and can be revived with a penalty of Rs 50 per annum along with the minimum amount required to be deposited for that year. Reactivation can happen up to 15 years from the date of account opening.
