Under PMJDY, till January 27, 2021, a total of 41 crores 75 lakh accounts have been consumed, out of which 23 crores, 12 lakh 26 thousand 199 accounts of women and 18 lakhs 62 lakh 72 thousand 077 accounts of men. It is to be seen that in this context, the share of women in the beneficiaries of this scheme is more than fifty percent.

deposited in these Jan Dhan accounts, a total amount of Rs 1 lakh 37 thousand 755 crores has been deposited in 41 crores of 75 lakh accounts till 27 January 2021. There is no compulsion to keep minimum balance in this account and every citizen of India can open their account under this scheme. Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana was started in August 2014 under the National Financial Inclusion Mission.
