What is PM Ujjwala Yojana?
The Government of India will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1600 to BPL families who are eligible under Ujjwala Yojana, this amount will be for purchase of LPG gas connection. It is also providing an installment (EMI) to cover the cost of purchasing the stove and filling the LPG cylinder for the first time. According to the 2011 census of Ujjwala Yojana, families belonging to BPL (poor) group can avail the benefits of Ujjwala Yojana. The Ujjwala scheme aims to provide free LPG connections to a total of 8 crore BPL families.
How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana?
Any woman from BPL family can apply to get gas connection under Ujjwala scheme. For this you have to fill the KCC form and submit it to the nearest LPG center. To apply for Ujjwala Yojana 2 page form, required documents, name, address, Jan Dhan Bank account number, Aadhar number etc. are required.
When applying you have to state whether you want to take 14.2 kg cylinder or even 5 kg.
