In such a situation, they have two options, either sell their car or bike, buy another in the state where they are shifting, or re-register their car or bike in the state in which they are shifting. If the proposal of the Central Government is implemented, then people will not have to face trouble if they shift from one state to another. According to the information, this proposal of the government has been brought in the context of some citizen-centric steps and an IT-based solution for the registration of vehicles. Trains from other states can be kept for 12 months only
According to the current rules, if there is a shift from one state to another, then in the state where the shift is taking place, you can keep the car or bike of another state for 12 months only. In these 12 months, the car owners have to get their car or bike registered again in the new state. According to the rules applicable in the shifting state, road tax has to be filled. In some cases, such as road tax in Bangalore is very high, it is expensive for people who shift there to re-register their car or bike. Apart from this, NOC has to be taken from the state where you are living now, that you are now shifting to another state. Apart from this, in the state where we are currently, we have to apply for refund of road tax as well. In this case, the whole process becomes very long. According to the proposed rule, two years or double the amount of road tax will be charged at the time of registration.
The trial has started
Currently, this trial is being done on the vehicles of government, PSU and defense personnel. Apart from this, such organizations can also participate in this trial, whose offices are in five or more cities of the country. IN plates will be issued to all RTO eligible candidates. This will help in shifting from one state to another.
This will save people because they will not need to register their car or bike when they shift to another state. The disadvantage of this proposed rule may be that it will reduce the revenue received as road tax. In addition, there may be an abundance of fake plates as all will start with IN. The registration plates with IN will end the registration plates with state identities like MH, DL, RJ and UP.
