Private School closed: Private schools running without recognition in Haryana will no longer be able to admit children. Private schools will be allowed admission only up to the class for which they are recognized. The list of all illegally run schools will be published in newspapers so that parents do not enroll their children in them.
Responsibility has been fixed on District Education Officers and Elementary Education Officers for closing unrecognized schools. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Directorate of Education. Private school operators have been warned that those schools which do not have the approval of the Education Department, they should not enroll students from April 1st. If any such case is found then strict action will be taken against them.
Strict monitoring will be kept on schools
Along with making the list of unrecognized schools public, the activities related to admission in these schools will also be closely monitored. On the basis of the report of Block Education Officers, District Education Officers will conduct physical verification of unrecognized private schools and then give notice of their closure.
The Education Department has also tightened its grip on private schools running branches in other villages on the basis of one recognition. A large number of recognized schools are selling their names to unrecognized schools running in different villages. According to the rules, a school which has received recognition can run the school only in that place of the village or city. On opening a branch in another village, it has to take fresh approval from the education department.
Teams formed on cluster basis for raids
Teams have been formed on cluster basis to raid unrecognized schools. Team members will inspect schools in their cluster and close down illegally operating schools. There are a large number of schools which have recognition for small classes, but are taking admissions for large classes. The screws will also be tightened on these schools. So far, 282 unrecognized schools have been identified, which will be closed.
327 private schools with temporary recognition will also have to fulfill the conditions
327 schools with temporary recognition will also be allowed admission in the new session only if they fulfill the conditions. If any school is operated without fulfilling the conditions, then according to the Haryana School Education Rule 2003, it will be considered a crime and legal action will be taken.
