Procedure To Book An Online Appointment For Aadhaar Seva Kendra

Aadhaar Seva Kendras now have online appointments similar to that for Passport, set up to solely provide services linked to Aadhaar. Twitterati, who used the forum to experience the rapid services provided by these centres, was amazed by the coordinated structure. Users responded by accepting Aadhaar Seva Kendra’s excellent and fast services if you make an appointment and visit. If you are applying for a new Aadhaar card or making any changes to your existing one, as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched online appointment booking services, you do not need to wait in bank or post office queues.

Following Aadhaar services are available for the users as of now:

  • New Aadhaar Enrollment
  • Update of Name, address, mobile number, email id, date of birth, gender
  • Biometric (Photo + Fingerprints + Iris)

Steps to book an appointment for Aadhaar Seva Kendra online

  1. Visit www.uidai.gov.in and select “Book an Appointment” from the “My Aadhaar” drop-down list.
  2. Now select your city and location from the drop-down menu and click on the “Proceed to Book Appointment” option.
  3. Now enter your mobile number and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number for authentication.
  4. Authenticate the OTP and enter your Aadhaar details and other required information carefully.
  5. Now select a date and time of your preference, and then you will be issued with a booking appointment number.
  6. The Aadhaar Seva Kendra is identical to the Seva Kendra Passport. There is a token system in which the applicant has to get a token first and then step on to a ‘verifier’ for document authentication. The citizen must go to ‘cash counters’ for settlement of charges following completion of authentication. Though registration is free, a fee will be charged for every modification to Aadhaar records.
  7. Operator workstations are allocated to the applicants and on screens, the progress of the queue by token number can be seen.
