Major changes are being made in the land and house registry in UP. Now at the time of registration, the fingerprints of both the seller and the buyer will be matched with Aadhaar. Its arrangements have started.
A big change is going to happen in Uttar Pradesh to stop fraud in the land registry. Now the land registration process will be completed only when the fingerprints of the buyer and seller match with the fingerprints fed in their Aadhaar data. After the machines were installed in the registrar offices on the orders of the Registration Department, the trial has also started. Now there will be no fraud in land or property registry. To stop fraud in land registry, the government has started a trial to make Aadhaar verification mandatory. This work is being done at the NIC level.
Till now, thumb and finger impressions of the buyer and seller were taken from the biometric machine in the registrar offices, but it was not verified with the Aadhaar data. In which there is a high possibility of fraud. In the new system, no seller will be able to fraudulently sell the same land twice.
Along with this, sale of any benami land will also stop. Not only will Aadhaar card information be mentioned in the land documents, it will also be verified with Aadhaar data by taking fingerprints.
NIC is doing the process of linking Aadhaar
The registry software in the registrar offices will be digitally linked with Aadhaar. Only after this the land will be registered. At the same time, purchase of property also cannot be hidden. Since it is linked to Aadhaar, it can be viewed whenever you want by opening Aadhaar.
Before the new system of Aadhaar verification was implemented, there was often a complaint that someone used to get someone’s land registered by fraudulent means and this matter came to light after the death of the buyer, at that time it became difficult to prove it. Now this type of fraud will be stopped.
This is the arrangement so far
According to the Registration Department, thumb and finger impressions of the buyer and seller are taken through biometric machine in the Registrar’s office. Now this machine will be linked to the Aadhaar side. According to AIG Stamp Brijesh Kumar, now the registration process will be attached to the Aadhar card. RD devices have been installed. It is being connected to the server of Lucknow Registration Department. Its trial is going on right now.
