Earlier, farmers could not sell their crops in the mandis for several days, and were not paid for their crops for months. Now the procurement of crops is done instantly and the payments are made directly into the accounts of the farmers within 72 hours. Farmers can now file crop failure reports themselves on the e-compensation portal.
On Thursday, Mr. Dushyant Chautala visited Kharkhoda constituency of Sonipat district. During this, he held public meetings in more than 50 villages.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister announced that Sonipat would be the first district in the state, in which death papers etc. would reach directly to the person’s home within ten days. Extensive efforts are being made in this direction.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that the government has empowered the Deputy Commissioners to give compensation to the houses in case of flood. Along with this, he told that the investigation of crop damage is also being done.
