Delhi Chhath Puja 2024 Holiday: People are excited about the Chhath festival in Delhi. The AAP government in the national capital has declared a holiday in government offices on November 7.

Chhath Puja 2024: There will be a holiday in government offices and schools on the occasion of Chhath Puja in Delhi. CM Atishi had already announced this. On Tuesday (5 November), she again said that a government holiday has been declared on the 7th. The CM said that the Delhi government has made such arrangements that the brothers and sisters of Purvanchal will not have to go more than 1 kilometer from their home to worship.

Delhi CM Atishi said, “Before Arvind Kejriwal ji became the CM, there were 60 Chhath Ghats in Delhi, but today after 10 years, 1000 Chhath Ghats are being built in Delhi under the guidance of Kejriwal ji. The Delhi government organizes events at these Chhath Ghats. All the work of building ghats, arranging water, medical facilities, arranging doctors etc. is done by the departments of the Delhi government.

She further said, “Tents, sound and lights are arranged by the Revenue Department of Delhi at these Chhath Ghats. Cultural programs are organized at all the big Chhath Ghats in Delhi through Maithili-Bhojpuri Academy.”

CM Atishi further said, “I am happy that due to the organization by the Delhi government, today the festival of Chhath is not only the festival of our Purvanchal brothers and sisters, it is the festival of all Delhiites. All Delhiites celebrate it with great pomp.

Earlier, on Monday (November 4), Chief Minister Atishi also took stock of the Chhath Ghat located at ITO in the national capital. During this, she had said that to ensure that there is no shortage in the preparations of Chhath Mahaparva, all the ministers and party MLAs are also reaching the Chhath Ghats and taking stock of the preparations there. During this, she also gave necessary instructions to the officials.
