Public Holiday: All schools, colleges and offices will remain closed from 31st to 3rd November due to public holiday – order issued

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has declared a four-day holiday for Diwali. All educational institutions in the state will remain closed from October 31 to November 3. At the same time, today (October 30, 2204) all schools and colleges will remain half day. An official statement said that today, on October 30, the Tamil Nadu government has declared a half day for Chhoti Diwali.

Let us tell you that the celebration of Diwali has started from October 29 (Dhanteras). Today, October 30 is Chhoti Diwali. It is also known as Narak Chaturdashi. While Diwali is a major festival, Chhoti Diwali is also an important festival. The festival of Diwali lasts for 5 days. Chhoti Diwali is the second day of the 5-day festival. It is celebrated a day before Badi Diwali.

Schools and colleges will remain closed for 3 days in Tamil Nadu

There was confusion in many places regarding Diwali holiday. At present, the government in the state has cleared all the confusion by announcing the holiday dates. The state government has issued a notice saying that Diwali holiday has been declared on 31 October and 1 November. The state government says that this will be convenient for the students and teachers going to their homes. On the other hand, there will be a four-day holiday on 2-3 November due to Saturday-Sunday. This order will be applicable to government offices, private institutes, schools and colleges in addition to government schools-colleges and educational institutions. However, an order has been issued to declare 9 November as a working day to compensate for the holiday on 2 November.

Diwali auspicious time is on 31st October

This year Diwali will be celebrated on 31st October. Diwali festival is celebrated on Amavasya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This time Kartik Amavasya Tithi will start on 31st October at 3.52 pm. It will end on 1st November at 6.16 pm. In such a situation, considering the date of Amavasya, it has been decided to celebrate Diwali on 31st October. Diwali festival is of five days. This year Diwali will start from Dhanteras on 29th October and will end on Bhai Dooj on 3rd November.
