Declaration of public holiday on August 13 in 3 districts

The Haryana Government has declared a public holiday on August 13 in three districts of the state in view of the by-elections in Panchayati Raj Institutions. Apart from Ambala, Jind, a public holiday has been declared in Sonepat. This decision was taken regarding the voting to be held in the jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat Juan of Sonipat including Ambala’s Gram Panchayat Azampur, Jind Panchayat Chawdi Batana and Rose Kheda.

A public holiday has been declared in government offices, educational institutions and other institutions regarding voting. According to the letter issued by the government, on August 13, all factories, commercial establishments, industrial undertakings, shops and banks falling in these areas will have a holiday due to elections.

Instructions to keep institutions closed

The purpose of this holiday is to ensure the right of workers to vote. In such a situation, instructions have been given to keep all educational and non-educational government institutions closed.
