Public Holiday: Public holiday announced on 2 October, know what will remain closed

Government employees will get the benefit of holiday on Sunday, 18th August and on 19th August due to Raksha Bandhan, during this time the offices will remain closed.

General public holidays: There is good news for government officials and employees in Madhya Pradesh. Before the festivals, the Mohan Yadav government of the state has given a big gift to the bank employees. The state government has approved leave for bank employees on 19 August and 26 August. This leave has been given under the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881.

Apart from this, general public holiday has also been declared by the General Administration Department of MP Government on 19 and 26 August. This holiday will be applicable to all types of establishments operating within Madhya Pradesh.

These government / private employees will also get the benefit of leave

  • Odisha Deputy Chief Minister P. Parida announced one day menstrual leave for women employees of government and private sector. Under this, women employees can take leave on the first or second day of the menstrual cycle, but this leave will be optional.
  • Let us tell you that before Odisha, the decision of menstrual leave has been taken in Bihar and Kerala as well. Bihar provides menstrual leave for working women. Kerala also introduced menstrual leave for women students in state universities in January 2023.
  • Apart from this, Rajasthan government employees will have a government holiday on Saturday, August 17, Sunday, August 18 and Rakshabandhan on 19. There will be a holiday on Saturday-Sunday on August 24-25 and Krishna Janmashtami on 26. Offices will remain closed during this period.
