On 26 January, Rafael Jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be seen flying for the first time in the parade on Rajpath on the occasion of Republic Day. Rafael Jet will be seen flying in the vertical ‘Charlie’ formation on Tuesday. Where Rafael is going to make his debut, the pilots who fly it are very excited about it. Apart from Rafale, 41 more aircraft will be seen in the sky. It will also have 21 helicopters, 15 fighter jets, five transport aircraft and vintage Dakota.
Decades later part of a new jet parade

Decades later, this is the occasion when an Air Force jet is joining the Republic Day parade. The fighter jets that will be in the sky with Rafael include Sukhoi and MiG-29. IAF’s Jet Rafael will be in the Vertical Charlie Formation with two Jaguars and two MiG-29s.
Rafael jet manufactured by French company Dassault is being used by the air forces of Egypt, Qatar, Greece and some other countries. The first batch of five Rafale jets came to India in July 2020. On 27 January, three more Rafale jets will land in India. Rafael is currently posted at the Golden Arrow Squadron in Ambala, Haryana. Till now India has got eight Rafale and now its number will be 11.

Involved in war exercise in Jodhpur
Rafael Jet has recently participated in the ‘Desert Night-21’ exercise in Jodhpur. On 20 January 24 January, in the exercise, Rafael Jet of IAF and Rafael Jet of French Air Force were face to face. Sarthak Kumar, the pilot squadron leader who flew the Rafale fighter jet, has said that after the arrival of the Rafale jet, the Air Force is effective in completing every challenge from Kanyakumari to Leh. Squadron leader Sarthak flew Rafael in this exercise and he described it as a great learning experience.
According to squadron leader Sarthak, IAF is ready for every challenge from Leh to Kanyakumari. Rafale’s fleet is capable of carrying out any operation completely. Rafael is able to operate not only in the country but in any part of the world. The exercise in Jodhpur has proved to be a successful exercise. Apart from Rafael Jet of both countries, Miraj and Sukhoi were also involved in the exercise between India and France.
Deployment will also be done on the border of China
By April 2021, the IAF will have 21 Rafale jets. While 18 Rafale will be stationed in Ambala, 3 Rafale jets will be deployed at Hashimara Airbase of North Bengal. This airbase is on the eastern front and this roll is big enough to deal with the threats from the Chinese side. All are equipped with dangerous missiles like Rafael Jet, Mica and Meteor which can stack the enemy from air to air.
Apart from this, air-to-ground assault scalp missile is also installed. France had promised to supply Rafale jets to India every two months. In 2016, 36 Rafale jets were signed between India and France at a cost of about 59,000 crores.
