There will be no hassle of waiting in trains, that is, there will be no need to book tickets 120 days in advance. Passengers will be able to travel conveniently in trains. After the budget, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself told the complete plan as to how preparations have been made to end the waiting list. Not only this, he also told its deadline.

The Railway Minister said that the announcement of three corridors in the budget is a step taken towards eliminating waiting tickets. Because at present 700 crore passengers travel in trains annually. It has to reach Rs 1000 crore, due to which the waiting list will end. For this, new railway tracks will be constructed and new trains will be run.

Additional railway track equal to Germany will be constructed

He told that including the three corridors is 40 thousand km. Railway track will be constructed. This will be equal to the total railway tracks of a developed country like Germany. In this, apart from the construction of new railway track, doubling or more tracks will be laid on the existing railway track as per requirement. Along with this, flyovers and underpasses will also be constructed for trains.

Work has been going on in this direction for two years

The construction of three corridors to end the waiting list has not been suddenly announced in the budget. Work for this was going on for the last two years. He said that the outline of the corridor has been decided after discussions with 18 ministries, all the states and entrepreneurs.

How long will you have to wait to end the waiting list?

Ashwini Vaishnav said that it will take 9 years to construct all four corridors. It will take five years to manufacture 40 thousand Vande Bharat coaches. In this way, it will take six to seven years to end the waiting list. That means people will be able to get confirmed tickets till the year 2030-31.
