While explaining the mega plan of the railways, the Railway Minister said that the focus of the railways has always been on the lower/lower middle and middle segments. No change has been made in this. A new kind of narrative is being created by giving it a political form. The production of sleeper coaches is being increased. Reply to those who create false narratives in the same language

Out of 17 zones, 11 zones have better punctuality. We will improve it further. We are working 24*7 for the passengers, the government and the ministry are also available for the employees. I assure the railways and the employees that they will get all kinds of help and support. Those who are trying to do politics and create false narratives, answer them in the same language.

This is the plan for the next two years

According to officials, about 10000 coaches are being finalized during FY 2024-25 and 2025-26, including a record number of more than 5300 general coaches. In FY 2024-25, the railways plans to manufacture 2605 general coaches including Amrit Bharat General coaches, 1470 non AC sleepers including Amrit Bharat Sleeper coaches, 323 SLR coaches including Amrit Bharat SLR coaches, 32 high capacity parcel vans and 55 pantry cars.

In FY 2025-26, the railways plans to manufacture 2710 general coaches including Amrit Bharat General coaches, 1910 non AC sleepers including Amrit Bharat Sleeper coaches, 514 SLR coaches including Amrit Bharat SLR coaches, 200 high capacity parcel vans and 110 pantry cars. The demand for rail service is dynamic and keeps fluctuating/increasing depending on seasonal changes, growth of passenger traffic etc. The requirement of coaches is based on these factors and is incorporated in the annual coach production programme. Production of coaches is generally as per the requirement.
