Now the method of train ticket booking will become easier. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will provide people the facility of booking train tickets by speaking. Under the new facility, passengers will be able to book tickets by speaking or calling. Actually IRCTC, NPCI and CoRover have launched Conversational Voice Payments Service for UPI. Railways’ new facility is integrated with the payment gateway. With the help of which people will get the facility of ticket booking and payment by using their voice or by typing their UPI ID or mobile number on call. Under the new facility, passengers will not only be able to get information about ticket booking, cancellation, PNR status by speaking but will also be able to make payment.
How will IRCTC’s new system work
This service of railways is based on AI. Railways’ AI will be through virtual assistant AskDisha. With its help, you can book and cancel your ticket by speaking. Whenever a mobile number is given, the conversational voice payment system automatically receives the UPI ID associated with it. On the voice command of the user, the payment request for the ticket will be initiated through his default UPI app. To make the payment secure and flexible, the user gets the facility to update his mobile number or UPI ID within the time limit. After the payment is completed, the ticket is booked. This system uses the payment gateway’s API to ensure smooth and secure transaction process along with CoRover’s voice enabled Bharat GPT. For this, you can use chatbot on IRCTC’s app and website.
Book ticket by voice, method of payment
IRCTC is also included in this partnership. UPI, BharatPe powered conversational voice payment, has been integrated with IRCTC and its AI virtual assistant AskDISHA for Indian Railways. With the help of this technology, users will be able to book tickets using just their voice. This entire process is very easy and fast. Apart from ticket booking, you can check PNR status, cancel tickets, get refund, change boarding station, check booking history and many other tasks will be completed without any hassle.
