Railway New System: Sometimes you reach the railway station to travel by train and when you put your hand in your pocket to get the ticket, you realize that you have forgotten to keep your purse or money. In these circumstances you face a big problem as to what will happen now. How will the journey be completed? Indian Railways has started a new system to provide relief to such people. Under this, the passenger will be able to travel by train even if there is no money in his pocket.
Keeping in mind the Digital India vision of Railways, Agra Division has started this special facility at Agra Cantonment station. Under this system, even if a person does not have money, there will be no problem during the journey. To promote cashless payment, the facility of purchasing unreserved tickets and platform tickets through QR code has been provided. This facility is being provided through a special cash less counter, where a fare display along with QR code scanner has also been installed, in which passengers can see their fare on the screen and make online payment, which is a good interface between the Railways and the passengers. Promotes transparency.
Not only this, you can make cashless payment through QR code by purchasing food items in all the stations of Agra division (Agra Cantonment, Agra Fort, Mathura Jn. etc.). Apart from this, payment for parking facility can also be made in cashless manner through QR code. If passengers use pay and use toilet, they can also pay for it through cashless payment.
Cashless payment will save passengers’ time and there will be no hassle of changing money. With the increasing availability of smart phones, QR code / UPI payment has become accessible and easy for everyone.
