Vande Bharat Express: Continuous work is being done on the operation of Vande Bharat trains by the Modi government. According to sources, on June 27, 5 new Vande Bharat trains are expected to be launched by the Railway Ministry. The people of this Bihar will also get the gift of Vande Bharat from Patna to Ranchi. Apart from this, an announcement has been made by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to run the sleeper Vande Bharat train till March 2024.
Decision taken due to lack of passengers
But in the past, the Railways stopped Vande Bharat, running on the Nagpur (Maharashtra) to Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) route. Regarding this decision of the Railways, it was told in the media report that due to the huge shortage of passengers, the semi-high speed train had to be canceled on this route. According to the notification issued by the Railway Board, the rake of Vande Bharat train has been replaced with Tejas Express.
Vande Bharat trains running on 18 routes
Let me tell you Tejas X. It was the fastest train at the time it was launched. But now Vande Bharat has taken its place. At present, Vande Bharat trains are operating on 18 routes in the country. But the Nagpur-Bilaspur route was such that it has the lowest occupancy. PM Modi had launched Vande Bharat in December 2022 on the Nagpur-Bilaspur route.
It was also learned from a report that the reason for the less crowd of passengers in Vande Bharat Express is the higher fare. The fare for Executive Class in Vande Bharat Express on Bilaspur-Nagpur route was Rs.2,045. Whereas, the ticket price for AC chair car was Rs 1,075 per person.
