Railway Passenger: Big News! Now you can buy Rapid X ticket from mobile, no need to go to the counter, see the process

The country’s first semi-high speed rail service Rapid-X will start today. The options for purchasing tickets for this service are through paper QR code, ticket vending machine, National Common Mobility Card and Rapid X Connect app. The lowest fare for the train is Rs 20.

Rapid X ticket Book: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s first semi-high speed rail service Rapid-X today. This service is currently scheduled to run between Delhi and Meerut. Its service will be from Sahibabad to Duhai for a journey of 17 km. There is enthusiasm among the people about this Rapid X Rail equipped with all the modern facilities. To travel from Sahibabad to Duhai by Rapid X, you will have to take a ticket of Rs 50. Whereas in premium coach, for the same distance you will have to pay double the fare i.e. Rs 100. To travel from Sahibabad and Ghaziabad, you will have to pay Rs 30 in standard coach and Rs 60 in premium. The lowest fare between two stations has been kept at Rs 20. Similarly, the lowest fare for traveling in premium class from one station to another is Rs 40.

How to buy tickets

There are several options for purchasing tickets for Rapid Rail. Tickets can also be purchased through paper QR code, vending machine, card and app. Let us know in detail the ways in which you can get tickets to travel in this high speed train:

1. Paper QR code based travel ticket

It can be purchased from ticket vending machines (TVMs) or ticket counters at Rapid X stations.

2. Ticket Vending Machine

Unified Payments Interface (UPI) enabled ticket vending machines have been installed to recharge paper QR tickets and National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). Passengers can use bank notes, bank cards, National Common Mobility Cards and UPI to buy tickets from TVM. There will be 4 ticket vending machines in Sahibabad, 4 in Ghaziabad, 2 each in Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai depots.

3. National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) Card

In line with the One Nation, One Card vision of the Government of India, the RapidX Commuter Card is a national common mobility card that permits travel. It will be possible to use any NCMC card for travel from the first day of operation in the RRTS system.

4. Rapid X Connect App

Digital QR code-based ticket can be generated through NCRTC mobile application Rapid X Connect. The app has not been launched yet. But it is claimed that it will be launched before the operation of the train.
