Restoration of Trains for Rakshabandhan: Only a few days are left for the festival of Raksha Bandhan. In such a situation, there is a lot of fighting for confirmed seats in the trains to go home. Now just before the festival, the Railways has given great relief to the passengers. More than a dozen canceled trains have been reinstated by the South East Central Railway. In fact, non-interlocking work will be done for the electrification of the third line at Badhwabara railway station in the Shahdol-Rupond section of Bilaspur division.

Bilaspur-Shahdol MEMU Passenger Special Train (08740), Shahdol-Bilaspur MEMU Special Train (08739), Raigarh-Dongargarh MEMU Passenger Train (08729), Gondia-Vadsa MEMU Passenger Train (08806) from August 28 to August 31, 2023 will be circulated again. Dongargarh Raipur MEMU Passenger (08730), Vadsa-Chandafort MEMU Passenger (08808), Chandafort-Gondia MEMU Passenger (08805) will be re-operated from August 29 to September 1.

According to the press release of South East Central Railway, the operation of some trains will be affected for the upgradation of mobility in various sections and for the improvement of various ongoing safety related maintenance works and track maintenance work. This work will be done on different dates. 08701/08702 Raipur-Durg-Raipur MEMU passenger special running from Raipur and Durg from 23 August 2023 to 02 September 2023 will remain cancelled.
08714/08715 Itwari-Balaghat-Itwari MEMU passenger special running between Itwari and Balaghat from 23 August 2023 to 02 September 2023 will remain canceled between Gondia and Balaghat. 07805/07806 Gondia-Katangi-Gondiademu passenger special running between Gondia and Katangi from 23 August 2023 to 02 September 2023 will remain cancelled.
