Currently, the railways have increased the stoppages of 5 major trains in Delhi. Now these trains will also stop at Tilak Bridge, Sabzi Mandi and Nizamuddin. Especially the stoppages of trains arriving at New Delhi station between 3 pm and 9 pm have been increased.
Railway’s decision before summer vacation

Since 18 people lost their lives in a stampede due to crowd at New Delhi station recently, taking lessons from this incident, the railway administration is taking such steps to control the crowd.
Stoppages increased in view of crowd
According to the release issued by the railway, a large number of trains depart from New Delhi station between 3 pm and 9 pm. These include many Rajdhani trains. During this time, many trains from outside also reach New Delhi, due to which there is a possibility of crowd on the platform. To reduce this crowd, the railways has increased the stoppages of 5 major trains in Delhi.
Applicable only to trains coming to Delhi
According to the railways, this stoppage is applicable only to trains coming, not to the outgoing trains. Therefore, those who are going by these trains will have to come to New Delhi station only. Sources say that if someone lives in East Delhi and gets off at Tilak Bridge, then it will be easy for them to go home from there. Similarly, if someone lives in South Delhi and gets off at Hazrat Nizamuddin instead of New Delhi while coming, then it will be easy for him.
