Special Trains: In order to give great relief to the passengers during the summer holidays, summer special trains have been started by the Railways for busy routes. This train is being run on different routes of the country. Now 13 more special trains have been started in this sequence. Railways hope that this will help in reducing the number of passengers.
Which routes are these trains running on?
Firozpur Division of Indian Railways has started these trains. This includes Jammu Tawi-Udaipur, Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Indore, Vaishno Devi-New Delhi, Udhampur-New Delhi, Amritsar-Jaynagar, Amritsar-Katihar, Amritsar-Gandhidham, Amritsar-Samastipur and other trains.
These trains will make 99 rounds
According to an official of the Ludhiana railway station, the number of passengers at the city’s railway station has increased by 10 per cent due to summer vacations. These trains will make a total of 99 trips to take the passengers to their destinations.
Railway is also adding extra coach
Railway officials said that in view of the increase in demand, the Railways is temporarily adding additional coaches to the trains. He said that trains with long waiting list are identified by the authorities and temporary coaches are added for the convenience of the passengers.
Coaches added last month
In the month of May, the Ferozepur division of the railway added 118 additional coaches, which were used by 10,306 passengers. This included 48 third class AC coaches, four chair car coaches, 9 sleeper coaches and 57 general coaches.
