Railway Passengers Attention! 956 trains will be affected by 63-hour mega block, check route and other details

Mumbai Local Mega Block Today: Central Railway will operate a 63-hour ‘mega block’ from midnight of May 30 for platform expansion work on the Mumbai network. This move will affect the services of local trains, which are called the lifeline of Mumbai, and the movement of lakhs of passengers. An appeal has been made to the passengers.

Mumbai: Central Railway has decided to take a mega block from Thursday night to expand Thane and CSMT railway stations, the stations between which the first train ran in the country. The 63-hour mega block will start from Thane on the night of 30-31 May. It will be from 00.30 pm on 30-31 May to 15.30 pm on 2 June. During this time, work will be done to widen platform number 5 and 6 of Thane railway station. At the same time, a 36-hour block will be taken from the night of 31 May (12:30 AM) to expand platform number 10 and 11 of CSMT. This block will be till 12.30 pm on 2 June. Due to this work going on for three days, long distance trains along with local trains will also be affected. Many long distance trains will be short terminated. Trains going to Konkan will leave from Panvel station. During the block, most local train services will be terminated at Dadar or Byculla instead of CSMT.

930 local trains will be cancelled

According to DRM Rajneesh Kumar Goyal of Central Railway Mumbai Division, 930 local services will be cancelled in three days due to the mega block. Out of 930 local services, 161 will be cancelled on Friday, 534 on Saturday and 235 on Sunday.

444 will be short terminated

Central Railway has decided to short terminate 444 local trains. The minimum 7 services will be short terminated on Friday, while 306 on Saturday and 131 on Sunday.

446 will be short originated

446 local train services will be short originated. 307 local trains will be short originated on Saturday and 139 on Sunday.
