Railway Rules: When we book tickets to go anywhere, we wonder whether the ticket of the child accompanying us will be booked or not. So today we will tell you that up to what age a child can travel free in the train.
According to the rules, children whose age is between one to four years do not get any ticket in the train. In fact, there is no need for any kind of reservation for such children.
If someone’s child’s age is between 5 years to 12 years, then it is necessary to buy tickets for children of this age. But if you do not want a seat for the child then you can take a half ticket.
In case of taking half ticket, children have to sit with their parents or guardian only. They do not get a separate seat. If you want to book a berth for them, then you will have to buy the full ticket for your child.
