Railway Rules: Good news for railway passengers! Digital payment facility started at all these railway stations for buying train tickets

Railway Rules: Now while buying train tickets at railway stations, passengers can pay the fare digitally through QR code. QR codes have been made available at all stations in Rajkot and Bhavnagar divisions of Gujarat.

Railway Rules: There is good news for railway passengers. Now while buying train tickets at railway stations, passengers can pay the fare digitally through QR code. Western Railways has made QR codes available at all stations of Rajkot and Bhavnagar divisions of Gujarat.

Divisional Railway Spokesperson said on Saturday that under this new initiative, facility has been provided to accept payment of railway tickets through QR code at all reserved and unreserved ticket counters of all small and big stations including Rajkot, Jamnagar, Surendranagar, Dwarka of Rajkot Division. Divisional Railway Manager Ashwani Kumar and Bhavnagar Divisional Railway Manager Ravish Kumar have requested the passengers to use QR code to pay ticket fare digitally.

Under this new initiative, facility has been provided to accept payment of railway tickets through QR code at all reserved and unreserved ticket counters of all small and big stations including Bhavnagar Terminus, Botad, Gandhigram, Junagadh, Porbandar, Veraval of Bhavnagar Division.

Rajkot and Bhavnagar Division are constantly striving to promote cashless transactions using digital payment methods and ensure smooth and more efficient service to its passengers. Moving forward in this direction, QR code devices have been installed at all the counters of the reservation office and booking office of Rajkot and Bhavnagar Division. Railway passengers are being provided the facility of QR code digital medium to pay ticket fare.

Railway passengers already have various digital payment options available like UTS mobile app, ATVM, POS and UPI to pay ticket fare. With the aim of making this type of digital payment system more useful and smooth, Rajkot Division has expanded it. This new digital payment system will now provide more convenience to the passengers to pay ticket fare through QR code. Through this, any passenger can pay his ticket fare smoothly and without any hassle.

He said that this effort is an impetus to provide rail passengers a more convenient and smooth travel experience and through this, simple and secure options are being provided for digital payments.
