Railway Rules: Special concession cards are being issued to the disabled by the Railway Division. These concession cards are being issued to 429 disabled persons under a special scheme by the Railways.
Senior DCM of Kota Railway Division Rohit Malviya said that special concession cards are being made by the railways to provide rail facilities to the disabled. In this scheme started from the month of April, Kota Railway Division has so far issued concession cards to 429 disabled persons.
Discount to attendants along with disabled persons
Malviya said that through the railway concession card, the disabled beneficiary gets concession in rail fare. With this, they can travel with an attendant according to the disability as per the rules of railway concession. This facility has been started to save the disabled from inconveniences in travel. Physically disabled persons can apply for railway concession card by submitting an application form
Concession card will be visible online
After the verification process of the disabled by the railways, the concession card is updated in the railway software. After this, whenever a disabled passenger applies for a ticket, he will have to give a photocopy of his railway concession card. As soon as the railway concession card is entered in the software, the complete details of the passenger will appear on the monitor and the concession ticket will be made on that basis. The same system will be applicable for e-tickets as well.

To make a Divyang Rail Concession Card, the applicant will need a medical certificate issued by the District Medical Officer, 2 photographs, identity card, Aadhar card, birth certificate and concession certificate and the validity of this card is five years.
