Railway station closed: Due to the increasing crowd of devotees, Prayagraj Sangam railway station did not open even on Sunday. It has been closed till 26 February. After the Maha Kumbh festival, trains will start operating from Sangam railway station from 27 February.
Railway station closed: Due to the increasing crowd of devotees, Prayagraj Sangam railway station did not open even on Sunday. It has been closed till 26 February. After the Maha Kumbh festival, train operations will start from Sangam railway station from 27 February. Prayagraj Sangam railway station used to be closed before every bathing festival. In view of the crowd on Sunday, operations from Prayagraj Sangam station have been stopped till Maha Kumbh. Police have been deployed in the station premises. Entry of passengers has been stopped.
15 trains will not come to Prayagraj Junction, route changed
After the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, special vigilance is being taken at Prayagraj Junction in view of the safety of the devotees of Maha Kumbh. 15 trains including Lokmanya Tilak will not come to Prayagraj Junction. Their route has been changed. Trains passing through Prayagraj Junction are being sent via another route.
These trains will not arrive today
- 15017-Lokmanya Tilak T. Gorakhpur-Kanpur Central – Lucknow – Barabanki-Gorakhpur will go via.
- 11071-Lokmanya Tilak T. Ballia-Jhansi-Kanpur Central – Lucknow – Jaunpur-Varanasi will go via.
- 12488-Anand Vihar T. Jogbani Kanpur Central-Lucknow – Barabanki – Gorakhpur will go via.
- 15484-Delhi Alipurduar Jn.-Kanpur Central-Lucknow – Barabanki – Gorakhpur will go via.
- 15631-Barmer Guwahati- Kanpur Central-Lucknow Barabanki-Gorakhpur will go via.
- 22129-Lokmanya Tilak T.-Jhansi-Kanpur Central-Lucknow – Ayodhya Cantt will go via.
- 15018-Gorakhpur Lokmanya Tilak-Kanpur Central-Veerangana Laxmibai will go via Jhansi-Itarsi.
- 11072-Ballia Lokmanya Tilak T.-Kanpur Central – Veerangana Laxmibai will go via Jhansi-Bina.
- 22130-Ayodhya Cantt Lokmanya Tilak T.- Laxmibai will go from Kanpur Central via Jhansi.

Trains on Delhi route affected after stampede at station, arrived late by hours
After the stampede in New Delhi, many VIP trains on Delhi route were affected. Due to this, Vande Bharat Express was rescheduled for several hours, due to which many VIPs also had to face delay. A VIP who had come to Maha Kumbh had to leave for Delhi by Vande Bharat Express after waiting for four hours.
Vande Bharat Express going from Banaras to New Delhi was already rescheduled by two hours, but the train arrived at Prayagraj Junction four hours late. A VIP had reservation in Maha Kumbh in this train, due to which he had to wait for hours. Prayagraj’s most VIP train Prayagraj Express arrived seven hours late on Sunday.
