Railway Rules: Railway ticket money will not be deducted until the ticket is confirmed, IRCTC's great feature

Now through UTS app, general or platform tickets can be made even within a radius of 50 kilometers from the railway station. This will provide convenience to passengers traveling in running coaches.

Passengers will now be able to book tickets from the UTS app within a radius of 50 kilometers of the train catching station. Earlier this facility was only within a radius of 5 kilometers from the station. As soon as the ticket is booked through the app, a message will come on the mobile. The ticket will self-destruct once the journey is over. Neither anyone else will be able to travel on that ticket nor will the fare be refunded. Even a screenshot of the ticket cannot be taken. This will also stop ticket fraud. Online paperless tickets will not be booked within 40 meters of the track. Although Railways has kept the option of booking paper tickets online, but after booking the ticket, the passenger will have to reach the counter and take the printed ticket. Apart from this, passengers can also book tickets online through QR code at the station.

QR code is pasted in front of the counters

QR codes have been pasted in front of ticket counters and at prominent places. While booking the ticket, you will know whether the train will arrive within three hours or later. With this people will be able to plan their journey. People will not have to stand in long queues at the counters for tickets after reaching the station. There are still long queues at the counters for general tickets. During festivals, people have to jostle for tickets. Due to this many passengers miss their train.

Maximum four tickets on one PNR

PNR number will be given to passengers during booking through UTS app. A maximum of four tickets can be booked on one PNR. Ticket payment can be made through debit card, credit card, pay-wallet etc.

Will not be able to book tickets during the journey

One can book unreserved tickets while staying at least 20 meters away from the railway line. This means that it will not happen that you travel without a ticket and book the ticket as soon as you see TT. For this, Railways has done geo fencing, so that people do not misuse this facility.
